Line Dance Library · Last updated: June 27, 2026
The short version: Line Dance Library doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no tracking. Your song library lives on your own device, and nothing is sent to us — because there is no "us" to send it to.
Nothing. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, no backend server, no analytics SDK, and no advertising or tracking of any kind.
The songs you save — titles, artists, artwork, your difficulty and status tags, and any reference video links — are stored locally on your device. On iOS this uses Apple's on-device storage; on the web version it uses your browser's local storage. We have no access to it.
The iOS app can recognize a song playing near you. This only happens when you deliberately tap the listen button — the app never listens in the background.
Song recognition is provided by Apple. Apple's handling of that request is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you choose to add your own artwork to a song, the app accesses only the specific image you pick. It is stored on your device with that song. The app cannot see the rest of your photo library.
The app can open a song in Spotify or Apple Music, and open a reference video link you've added. Doing so hands off to that app or website, which has its own privacy policy and terms. We don't share any information with them beyond the song title and artist contained in the link you tap.
On the web version, album artwork is loaded from Spotify's public artwork endpoint. Loading an image means Spotify's servers receive that request. No account or personal data is involved.
You can export your library to a file and import one. These files are created and shared entirely by you, through your device's own share sheet. We never see them. Note that your learning status is intentionally left out of exports — your progress stays private, even when you share a library with a friend.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
