Two ways. Tap the listen button on the Listen tab to recognize a song playing nearby — it gets added with its title, artist, and album art filled in. Or tap + in the Library to add one by hand.
Move closer to the speaker and try again — it needs a few seconds of reasonably clear audio, and it can't identify live or cover performances. Make sure you allowed microphone access when asked (Settings → Line Dance Library → Microphone). The app only listens while you're holding it on that screen; never in the background.
Artwork comes automatically from song recognition. For a song you typed in yourself, you can add your own image: open the song, tap Edit, and pick a photo.
They're your learning status — whether you've got the dance down, you're working on it, or you haven't learned it yet. Every song starts at "Nope." It's just for you.
In the Library, tap the ••• menu → Export Library, and send the file however you like. Your friend uses Import Library on their end.
Two things worth knowing: your learning status is never included in an export — your progress stays private. And importing never overwrites what you already have; it only adds songs that are new to you.
Entirely on your own device. There are no accounts and no servers. That also means the app can't restore your library if you delete it — export a copy if you'd like a backup. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
Yes — open it here. It carries your library, tags, and Spotify links, but song recognition is only in the iOS app.
